Modular Refugee Housing
Suitable for almost anywhere
The world changes every day. Wars destroy people’s dreams and turn them into refugees. Their entire living environment changes, and most of them leave their homeland. The Modular Refugee Housing project was designed after a careful analysis of the difficult living conditions of refugees. The concept fully meets the standards of the UNHCR, the UN Refugee Agency. The shelters are designed so that refugees can live in them temporarily for up to four years.
The design takes into account all UNHCR standards and recommendations and rests on three main aspects: the environment, the structure and the residents.
The environment
The aim is to preserve the environment in which the shelters are built or, where this is not fully possible, to protect it as much as possible.
The structure
The shelters are modular and durable, and can be adapted and changed to suit the needs of their residents. The structure is suitable for both rural and urban areas.
The residents
The shelters allow a dignified life with privacy and security. They are suitable for young and old alike and meet the needs of their residents.
By addressing all three aspects, the modular refugee shelters protect the environment and form a durable structure that can be reused and changed many times. In this way they meet the needs of their residents and offer them a dignified life with privacy and security, in rural and urban areas alike.
